Cold Battery Operation

Energy is stored in a PCM gel either within beam or tube batteries located inside the cold store or within externally located blocks.

  • The cold energy is dissipated and delivered over a pre-determined time period dependent on the application.
  • Operational between a temperature range of +5ºC to -25ºC, offering outstanding flexibility.
  • Charged via either existing refrigeration condensers or centralised packaged refrigeration units.
  • Supplementary independent charging units can be specified to support existing refrigeration systems wherever required.

  2. Store stand-by thermal energy and maintain cold temperatures during unplanned refrigeration system shutdowns.
