Green cooling is able to provide a complete specification service for any size of project from a single cold room through to a centralised refrigeration system.

A project brief can have many variable elements and for this reason it is important that all these elements are fully understood in order that the most appropriate system is specified.

Green Cooling promote involvement within a projects specification team at the earliest stage possible, this allows full design support to be provided whilst working alongside a client to achieve the most cost effective but highest specification system possible.

A complete range of individual or bespoke packaged refrigeration systems can be specified to match the specific project requirements, whether a dual compartment coldroom or a complete centralized CO2 refrigeration system you can rely on Green Cooling to specify the most appropriate system.

Our experienced design teams consider the technical & budgetary requirements of each project in order to produce a system design that meets the performance and environmental demands of each particular application.

We provide a range of solutions and systems that efficiently utilise standard refrigerants, however the company also specialise in Hydrocarbon and CO2 based refrigeration systems that combine high efficiency with the highest level of environmental performance.

This industry leading in house design capability is able to support a mechanical or food service specifier in achieving a project brief that delivers the highest performance level possible whilst also delivering the highest value possible.

Delivering the highest standards of quality in a safe and controlled manner is the priority for Green Cooling’s installation and commissioning teams.

A full turn key service can be applied to any cold room or refrigeration project with a specific project manager assigned to each job who is responsible for ensuring that all safety, health and environmental standards and procedures are adhered to.

Additionally Green Cooling apply a rigorous ‘in project’ quality management system which is geared towards the project being delivered safely and on time with the highest quality standards achieved.

Green Cooling project teams are experienced and qualified in all technical areas with competencies and accreditations available to satisfy project demands.

Stonehenge Visitor Centre

The world famous UNESCO World Heritage Site opened the doors to its new visitor centre in 2013.

The centre has been designed to complement and enhance the visitors experience as they view the ancient stone circle, which dates back to 2200 BC.

Clearly any new additions to this site had to be completely sympathetic to the surroundings and built to the highest quality standards in terms of both the environmental and aesthetic demands. From a food service perspective consultants Sefton Horn Winch (SHW) were brought on board to create the specification & design for the catering elements of this important & sensitive project. The project required a high quality of both specification and installation in order to deliver the clients brief in every area.

As such the projects food service contractor HCE contacted Green Cooling to provide a refrigeration system design that ticked the box with regard to both the environmental and aesthetic demands of this unique project.

Scott Pilkington of Green Cooling commented, “the project tested our design ability in terms of meeting the site demands”, continuing, “the refrigeration system requirements of the Visitor Centre provided various site specific challenges which we were able to deal with during the early concept design stages, this enabled us to deliver a system that ensured that the high level of engineering standards required by this site were achieved”.

This type of design to completion project is typical of Green Cooling’s work, the unique demands of this particular site provided further challenges which were dealt with and answered within the structured specification and design process operated by Green Cooling.

  • Design, Specification, Project management & Installation
  • 8 x GC-NEXGEN refrigeration systems (MT/LT)
  • Complete kitchen refrigeration system (MT)
  • GC-NEXGEN PIR cold storage system/structures

This project provided relatively unique challenges with regard to the specification and site layout of the food service refrigeration system due to the sites UNESCO World Heritage status.

However Green Cooling’s design team worked closely with the client in order to provide the highest levels of system performance alongside meeting the sites environmental and aesthetic requirements.

Green Cooling operate a structured design led specification process, this structured approach allowed these unique challenges to be dealt with in a coordinated format throughout the duration of the project.
